YouTube videos
Video previews are stored on our own website. The YouTube player is not loaded until you select Load YouTube video in the video window.
Loading the player connects your browser to YouTube, a Google service. Google receives technical information including your IP address and browser information and may use cookies or similar storage for playback, measurement and other purposes described in its privacy policy. We use YouTube's privacy-enhanced embed address, but this does not mean the player is free of data collection.
You can select Not now without loading YouTube. After starting, select Stop video or close the window to remove the player and stop further requests from it. This does not erase information already received by Google or storage it has already created. You can manage existing cookies and site data in your browser.
Alternatively, the Watch on YouTube link takes you directly to YouTube, where Google's terms and privacy settings apply. Read the Google Privacy Policy.
Other external services and links
Some pages load fonts from Google Fonts and styling software from the Tailwind CSS content delivery service. These connections disclose technical request information, including your IP address, to the relevant service. They are separate from the optional YouTube player.
Bookshop, social media and other external links take you to independently operated websites when you follow them. Their own privacy policies apply. Service providers may process information outside the UK; their policies explain their processing and any applicable international transfer safeguards.
Keeping information
Correspondence is kept for as long as reasonably needed to deal with the enquiry and any necessary follow-up or record-keeping obligations. Technical logs are retained according to the hosting service's operational and security requirements. You can contact Richard to ask about information relating to you.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, restrict its use, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or request a portable copy. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting processing that took place before withdrawal.
